How do I book my child on a sports course?
Simply complete
the registration form and return to the Cambs Sport offices
as soon as possible. Places are allocated on a first come
first served basis. Either click on the link in the Sports
Camp pages or email/phone for a registration form.
What happens once I have sent my registration form?
Upon
receiving the form, we will process this registration and
send out a letter of confirmation to you, confirming your
child’s place on the course detailing what your child
will need to bring with them on the day. Should the course
be full we will inform you as soon as possible and return
your payment.
What does my child need to bring on the day?
For each day booked your child needs to bring the
following
- packed lunch
- plenty to drink
- suitable clothing and footwear for sport
- waterproof clothing for bad weather
- sun protection and hat
- a letter of permission from a parent or guardian should
you wish them to make their own way home
- should your child be on medication a letter detailing
their medicine doseage & frequency
If my child is on a hockey course what else do they need
to bring?
- hockey stick
- shin pads
- gum shield
- suitable footwear (astro turf shoes)
- goal keepers need to bring full goal keeping kit including
helmet
How can I pay?
Please send cheques with the completed registration
form made payable to Cambs Sport.
What information do I need to tell you about my child?
The registration form details the specific questions covering
such areas as medical conditions, allergies, special requirements
and consent required for emergency first aid and the taking
of photographs.

Are staff qualified?
All staff are qualified with governing
body of sport qualifications and have attended courses covering
child protection and first aid. All staff also hold a CRB
disclosure and have gone through a recruitment and selection
process. At each sports camp we run, there will be a designated
welfare officer on site to deal with any issues that may
arise throughout the course of the day.
Are staff experienced?
Many of our staff are either qualified
PE teachers, professional sports coaches or students looking
to build on their coaching experience.
What happens if my child is ill and cannot attend or feels
unwell during the day?
If your child is ill before the day
and cannot attend, we will issue a credit note for a future
course. if your child feels unwell and needs to go home,
we will contact you as soon as possible to collect your
child.
